For Attorneys

‍ ‍

Our practice provides clear communication, timely evaluations, and evidence‑based reports. Below is an overview of how referrals are handled and the evaluation process.

1. How Referrals Work

Referrals typically come in two ways:

A. Client‑Initiated Contact (Most Common)

The attorney or paralegal instructs the client to contact me directly. When the client calls or texts, they tell me:

  • their name

  • the type of evaluation needed (Hardship, VAWA, U Visa, T Visa, Asylum, Cancellation of Removal, etc.)

  • any deadlines or filing dates

The client is contacted the same day to schedule the evaluation.

B. Attorney or Paralegal Contact

Sometimes the attorney or paralegal contacts me first by phone or email. They usually provide:

  • the client’s name

  • the type of evaluation needed

  • a brief description of the case

Once the referral information is received, the client is contacted the same day to arrange the appointment.

2. Scheduling & Availability

Appointments are available:

  • daily, including weekends

  • evenings until 10 pm

  • in‑person or online (HIPAA‑compliant platform)

Urgent cases and tight deadlines can often be accommodated.

3. Clinical Interview & Assessment

The evaluation includes a comprehensive clinical interview covering:

  • mental health history

  • trauma history

  • current symptoms

  • family dynamics

  • cultural factors

  • hardship‑related stressors

  • impact of removal or separation

Collateral information may be requested when clinically appropriate.

4. Document Review

When provided, I review relevant documents such as:

  • medical or psychological records

  • police reports

  • affidavits

  • IEPs and school‑related educational records

  • attorney case summaries

This ensures the evaluation aligns with the clinical aspects of the case.

5. Report Preparation

A detailed, trauma‑informed, evidence‑based immigration evaluation is prepared. Reports include:

  • diagnostic impressions

  • clinical findings

  • functional impact

  • hardship analysis

  • trauma‑related symptoms

  • USCIS‑aligned rationale

  • recommendations

Reports are written to support your legal arguments clearly and professionally.

6. Turnaround Time

  • Standard: 5–10 days

  • Expedited (when available): 48–72 hours

7. Ongoing Collaboration

I maintain open communication with attorneys and can:

  • clarify clinical findings

  • provide supplemental letters

  • update reports if new information arises

I offer impartial, clinically grounded evaluations that contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the client’s mental health within the context of the case.
